Sydney Tetteh Hushie is a founding member of the Children and Youth in Broadcasting- Curious Minds, a child
and youth rights advocacy organization based in Ghana with reach across the continent. His work in HIV and
AIDS advocacy stems from a passion for creative safe spaces and protecting the rights of children and youth.
He has been involved in health advocacy at the country, regional and international levels through his work with the Global Youth Coalition on HIV and AIDS, AfriYAN and Society for AIDS in Africa. His advocacy work involves country negotiations at the UN and AU, campaigning in hostile environments to protect peoples rights. Sydney has served as community coordinator for the International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa where he mobilized Civil Society engagement in the conference. He is an active steering committee member of the Africa Civil Society Plantform for Health fighting for Universal Health coverage through effective domestic financing and provision of vaccines for all. Sydney holds a Masters in International Law from the University of Cumbria, UK and a bachelors in Economics from the Central University, Ghana
